Your City Commission The City is governed by a "Commission-Manager" form of government. There are five City Commissioners. The City Commission meets the first and third Monday of each month at 9am in City Hall. The public is welcome.

Public Notice Bulletin Board The City of Sarasota in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) provides reasonable accommodations for all official city proceedings. The City of Sarasota Public Art Program, in partnership with the City’s Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking artists to create a permanent sculpture for the Payne Park Tennis Center courtyard. This vibrant downtown facility welcomes hundreds daily, and the new artwork will add a creative “ace” to its lively mix of sport, community, and culture.
