Capital Projects The Capital Projects Division consists of a team of project coordinators, engineering technicians, and construction inspectors. We oversee the design and construction of infrastructure projects and are responsible for implementing the Public Works Department’s capital improvement plan.
Engineering Engineering staff regulates the public Rights-of-Way within the City of Sarasota, including streets, alleys, parkways, sidewalks, drainage facilities, and other infrastructure.
Infrastructure Maintenance The Infrastructure and Streets & Highways Maintenance Division ensures the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our city's infrastructure.
Solid Waste The Solid Waste Division plans, develops and implements solid waste collection and recycling programs to protect the public health and environment for our citizens and visitors to the community.
Surveying The Surveying Division delivers accurate and comprehensive surveying services essential for planning, designing, constructing, and maintaining the city's infrastructure.
Transportation Planning The Transportation Planning Division plans, develops, manages projects, and supports the implementation of the Capital Improvement Program and the Transportation Master Plan.
