Public Parking

The City of Sarasota offers a variety of parking options to accommodate residents, visitors, and businesses. In the Downtown area, there are four (4) public parking facilities, three which are centrally located in downtown and one (1) on St. Armand Key near Lido Beach. With over 1,300 covered parking spaces in Downtown please consider using either the State Street, Palm Avenue, or 2nd Street/Whole Food's parking garage. Convenient on-street parking is also available at approximately 3,000 public parking spaces within the City of Sarasota where 1,100 are metered parking spaces. With an eye on improving foot traffic to our downtown merchants, the City has embarked on implementation of metered parking on the busiest and desirable areas of downtown. Additionally, off-street surface parking lots are dispersed across the city, providing both short-term and long-term parking needs.

GARAGES - Free Sundays

2nd St Garage - 1412 2nd St.

  •  Ground Level - 2 hour parking for Whole Foods ONLY.
  • Levels 2 & 3 - 4 hour maximum parking

Palm Avenue Garage – 1289 N. Palm Ave.

  • 1st hour complimentary ONLY when license plate is entered into the system
  • $2.00 for hours 1-2, then $1 for each hour thereafter
  • No Parking from 6 AM to 10 AM, Monday-Friday on levels 1 & 2 of the Garage

State Street Garage – 1538 State St.

  • 1st hour complimentary ONLY when license plate is entered into the system
  • $2.00 for hours 1-2, then $1 for each hour thereafter

St Armands Garage – 57 N. Adams Dr.

  • 1st hour complimentary ONLY when license plate is entered into the system
  • $2.00 for hours 1-2, then $1 for each hour thereafter

The Mark Garage – 111 South Pineapple
