Context Sensitive Approach
Context classification is a way of categorizing a street based on its surrounding land use, travel patterns, user types, and its role in the transportation network. This classification system helps practitioners design roadways that meet communities’ specific needs. The City of Sarasota's Context Classification information can be found on Chapter 3: Street Design.
