Through this initiative, the City works with property owners and artists to create high-quality mural projects that enhance neighborhoods, strengthen community identity, and contribute to Sarasota's growing public art collection.

Each mural invites you to connect with the creative legacy that continues to shape our community.

Palm Avenue Parking Garage Murals

Painted in 2010, the murals inside the Palm Avenue Parking Garage create a vibrant five-story series celebrating Sarasota’s cultural life. Each level features a large-scale artwork themed around Dance, Film, Music, Opera, or Theatre, arranged alphabetically to help visitors remember where they parked. Created by local, national, and international artists, the murals showcase the city’s profound and enduring connection to the arts.
