Monitoring rainfall and streamflow helps protect the City of Sarasota citizens against flooding in drainage basins during storms and heavy rainfall events. As part of Sarasota County flood warning system, rain and stream gages collect data from around the county.

Data comes from remote automatic sensors. The City of Sarasota assumes no responsibility for the data accuracy.
