Public Art Committee

City Hall Commission Chambers

The Public Art Committee (PAC) plays a key advisory role in shaping Sarasota’s vibrant public art landscape. Governed by the City of Sarasota Zoning Code (Article III, Division 5), the PAC provides insight and recommendations on the selection, placement, installation, and removal of public art throughout the city.

The committee is comprised of six members appointed by the City Commission, including a student representative from the Sarasota County STAR Leadership Training program. Their combined expertise and perspectives help ensure that public art in Sarasota reflects both community values and artistic excellence.

The PAC meets regularly and welcomes public engagement in its efforts to support a dynamic and thoughtfully curated public art collection.
