"Harmony in Motion" Public Art Mural Dedication

Join the City of Sarasota for the dedication of Harmony in Motion, a new mural created through the City’s Public Art Program at North Water Tower Park. Created by local artist Edward James Walsh, the mural is the first public art installation in the Bayou Oaks Neighborhood. Remarks will be shared by City and community representatives.

These companion murals transform a Main Street alleyway into a celebration of the city’s past. On one side, The Performers pays homage to Sarasota’s legendary circus history. Around the corner, Fun in the Sun transports viewers to a nostalgic beachside paradise.

"Amphitrite" by Truman Adams

Local artist Truman Adams takes a contemporary approach to a classical subject with his mural Amphitrite, painted on the west-facing wall of a city-owned lift station. Visible from US-41, the goddess of the sea is represented as a Greek sculpture surrounded by coral.
