If you own a home within Sarasota County, you may be eligible for a zero percent deferred loan to repair your home!

The Office of Housing and Community Development provides loans to income-eligible homeowners who need roof repair, air conditioning, plumbing and/or electrical repairs. The program generally addresses emergency health and safety issues or code violations, provided funding is available.

Loans may be used to repair single family homes, and you (the homeowner) must live in the home and have income at or below 80 percent of the Sarasota Median Income.

Disabled persons may be eligible for a grant to remove barriers. Example: construction a ramp to the front door or installing grab bars in the shower.
