Echoes of Sarasota Opening Reception at City Hall

Join the City of Sarasota for the opening reception of Echoes of Sarasota, a cultural heritage exhibition featuring mural-scale artworks by Regan Dunnick and Frank Hopper on loan from Thomsen Fine Art, along with additional pieces curated by Arts Advocates. The collection highlights more than a century of Sarasota’s history, from early Indigenous roots and pioneer life to the region’s rise as a center for arts and culture.

This reception coincides with Constitution Day, aligning with the City’s America 250 celebrations recognizing the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial.

Guests are welcome to explore the installation throughout City Hall, meet project partners, and enjoy light refreshments. A new virtual tour is also available for visitors who want to preview the artworks and view historic photos related to the pieces.

The Echoes of Sarasota exhibition is presented in partnership with Thomsen Fine Art, with supporting artworks provided by Arts Advocates. The exhibit is free and open to the public and will remain on view through 2027.
