Extended parking enforcement hours remain suspended

Sept. 1, 2026

Extended parking enforcement hours, which were approved by the City Commission on second reading under Ordinance 26-5590 on May 18 and went into effect June 29, remain suspended following the Commission's Aug. 31 parking workshop. The City Commission is expected to revisit future options for the Parking Division after the Nov. 3 General Election.

Temporary enforcement hours:

  • On-street paid parking: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
  • City garages: 7 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. (The first hour remains free when a parking session is started.)
  • Free time-restricted: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Increased parking citation fines remain in effect for both time and safety violations. Overtime parking carries a fine of $30, with safety violations carrying fines of $50.
