Memorial Day parade road closures

The City of Sarasota, in conjunction with the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee, will host the annual Memorial Day parade at 10 a.m. Monday, May 25, on Main Street from Orange Avenue to U.S. 41.

There will be several tow-away zones and street closure notices in place in downtown Sarasota prior to the event.

Closed from 4 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:

• Main Street from Links Ave. to Gulfstream Avenue
• Osprey Avenue from Fruitville to Ringling Boulevard
• Gulfstream Avenue from Cocoanut Avenue to McAnsh Square
• Central Avenue from Main Street to First Street
• Intersection of Pineapple Avenue, Central Avenue and Main Street

Closed from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:

• Links Avenue from 2^nd Street to Ringling Boulevard?
• Goodrich Avenue from Main Street to 2^nd Street
• Adelia Avenue from Main Street to 2^nd Street
• Orange Avenue from State Street to 2^nd Street
• Lemon Avenue from Main Street to 2nd Street or First Street?
• Mira Mar Court from Main Street to McAnsh Square
• South Palm Avenue at the intersection with Main Street

Parked vehicles not removed by 8:45 a.m. will be towed at the owner’s expense. For information about towed vehicles, contact Upman’s Towing at 941-365-7084.
