City administrative offices to close Labor Day; trash delayed one day

Sarasota, FL: City administrative offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Regular Monday solid waste pick up will be postponed for residential customers. Monday collection will occur on Tuesday, and Tuesday collection will occur on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday service will be unaffected.

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the Regular City Commission meeting will be held at 9 a.m. and a Special City Commission meeting will take place starting at 5:30 p.m. regarding the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. Both meetings will be held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 1565 1st St.
