Great news! The playground at Gillespie Park has been fully restored after sustaining significant damage during Hurricane Milton.

Approximately two-thirds of the Gillespie Park playground was too damaged to repair and was replaced with new equipment. Additionally, new benches have been installed on the playground, and the surrounding fence has been repainted.

The City continues to work on restoring parks damaged by the unprecedented 2024 hurricane season. The community's patience is appreciated, especially with the restoration of our waterfront parks, as City staff continue to work with FEMA and FDEP to rebuild for resiliency and recoup federal funding.

Thank you to the Parks and Recreation team for their tireless work in restoring our City's parks and community spaces.
