March 16-20 is Florida Government Finance Professionals Week.

The City of Sarasota's Financial Administration Department, led by Kelly Strickland, is a dedicated and award-winning team of professionals. For more than a decade, they have earned the prestigious “trifecta” of awards from the Florida Government Finance Officers’ Association in three highly honored categories. Specifically, the group has been awarded:

  • Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting – recognized for 44 consecutive years
  • Distinguished Budget Presentation – recognized for 35 consecutive years
  • Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financing Reporting (PAFR) – recognized 12 times
