Our FEMA Public Assistance Support Team was recognized as the Team of the Month by the City Commission!
Nine team members, Jake Brown, Prin (Nirattha) Khempanya, Michelle Kenner, Susan Ryan, Alia Garrett, Mia Strickland, Meredith Woodend, Alexis Brickner, and Lisa Shay, stepped forward to help during a critical time of need.
In response to urgent FEMA reimbursement requirements, they quickly learned complex program requirements and gathered documentation for more than 40 disaster-related projects—all while managing their regular work responsibilities. With only 15 days to submit initial materials, the team rose to the challenge, ultimately safeguarding the City from losing eligible funds and highlighting the strength of shared purpose across departments.
