Child abuse and neglect remain complex challenges affecting millions of children nationwide each year. The Child Protection Center works within our community to prevent child abuse and to protect and support children who have been affected, with the goal of helping create a community where every child is safe and free from abuse.
During its meeting this morning, the City Commission recognized April 2026 as Child Abuse Prevention Month, acknowledging the importance of promoting awareness of and engagement with programs that promote the safety and well-being of children throughout our community, like those represented by the Child Protection Center.
