July 4, 2026 marks America's Semiquincentennial, and the community is invited to celebrate with us at two free City co-sponsored events in Downtown Sarasota.
Spirit of '76: Gather at Selby Five Points Park from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 3, for Spirit of '76, presented by the Sarasota Downtown Improvement District. In addition to live music, family activities, food, outdoor games, and more, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive projection art display, supported by the Public Art Program. Independence Day Fireworks: A family-friendly fireworks display will take place at 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 at Bayfront Park, weather permitting.
