To maintain multiple City-owned facilities and provide a safe and clean environment to support City employees in their efforts to provide quality services to the public.
Municipal Facilities is responsible for providing and maintaining all facility management functions for City Hall, City Hall Annex Building, Federal Building, Central Records Facility, all water and sewer facility structures including those at Verna Wellfield, the Public Works Administration Center located on 12th Street, the City Health Center, and miscellaneous City-owned buildings which are leased for community use.
The services provided include fire safety and janitorial services. In addition, all major repairs to ensure the structural and operational integrity of the buildings are coordinated through this division.
The Municipal Facilities division provides labor for the preparation, inspections, and cleanup related to building renovations and meeting setups. The Municipal Facilities also oversees all City owned land and property leasing, as well as the disposal of all obsolete and surplus assets and materials.
