Month-to-Month Parking Permits ONLY starting January 1st, 2026
Starting January 1st, 2026, the City of Sarasota Parking Division will only be offering a month-to-month option for parking permits. Permit holders will have the ability to set their permit up for autopay through the online portal, but it will be the permit holder’s responsibility to cancel their autopay if the permit is no longer needed. No refunds will be issued.

The City of Sarasota offers and manages Valet Parking throughout downtown Sarasota. For a complete look at our Valet ordinances please review: Sec. 33-120 – Sec. 33-125
Special valet permits are only for one or two days. The applicant needs to fill out the application, submit a drawing of a staging and storage location, and travel route. Complete the Special Events Permit Application below then drop it off at 1572 2nd St. at the Parking Window.
The cost of the permit is $50.00. We keep the original and a copy goes to the applicant.
The residential permit is designed for residents who require additional parking near their place of residence. Each permittee must live within 1,000 feet of the location for which they are being permitted. Presently, the City is issuing permits for the Palm Avenue parking garage, the State Street parking garage, and the 2nd Street parking garage on level 3.

The City of Sarasota Parking Management program is now offering a faster and easier way to park. Like the toll road pass system, Breezy Pass will make getting in and out of the City’s parking garages faster, easier, and touch free! The new system will improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities. It also provides a faster, contactless entry and exit program for employee parking. For the first time, the City is also encouraging the general public to purchase the Breezy Pass to improve parking access at all the City’s award-winning parking facilities.
Breezy Pass will be available for use in the Palm Avenue and State Street garages in Downtown, and the St. Armand’s parking garage. A pass can be purchased that is good for all three facilities, the downtown garages, or just St. Armand’s garage. Users will be able to pay a flat monthly rate or pay the actual parking fee via debit account maintained on file with the City. Rules of use vary based on selected options, so please review applications for more details.
On-street meter parking within the downtown or the St. Armands area have meters along their main corridors. Parking fees for up to four hours are free for visitors who properly display a currently valid parking placard from their rear-view mirror or have an ADA license plate as per Florida statues 316.1964

All fees are still applicable to those parking in Metered Surface lots or city owned gated Parking Garages (Palm Ave Garage/ State Street Garage/ St. Armands Garage).
Garages Parking Fees may be waived for individuals with an ADA Parking Permit if their vehicle has “specialized equipment such as ramps, lifts, or foot or hand controls, for use by a person who has a disability, or any vehicle displaying the Florida toll Exemption Permit” as per Florida Statue 316.1964.
