This Board was established for the purposes of making recommendations to the City Commission with respect to the use, maintenance, and development of parks, parkways, and open spaces. The Board also provides the City Commission input on the development of creative concepts of beautification and park utilization designed to provide for maximum community benefit. The board consists of 8 members who shall possess the skills necessary to make recommendations relating to use of parks, parkways and open spaces. Meetings are held every other month starting in January on the third Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Meeting locations are subject to change. The board is assisted and supported by the Parks & Recreation Department.
