The Citizens Tax Oversight Committee was established for the purpose of conducting an annual review of expenditures appropriated by the City Commission from the sales tax proceeds from the Local Government Infrastructure Sales Tax Extension. The Committee is to ensure that expenditures have been made in accordance with the infrastructure project list and any changes thereto and to ensure the City Commission follows the procedural requirements for changing the project list. The Committee consists of ten members who are appointed by the City Commission. Meetings are held annually on the 1st Thursday of December at 2:00 pm, in the City Commission Chambers. The Committee is assisted and supported by the Financial Administration Department.
