Dec. 1, 2025, recognized as Public Art in Motion Day

 

On Nov. 7, 2025, the sails of the Palm Avenue Parking Garage were transformed into colorful, dynamic works of art. Created by students in the Department of Motion Design at Ringling College of Art and Design, these intricate digital artworks were displayed during a Fresh Fridays event with the assistance of the Public Art Program and multiple community collaborators, generating widespread positive feedback from residents.

 

In honor of the creativity and technical expertise of the students who created these excellent visuals, the City Commission has recognized Dec. 1, 2025, as Public Art in Motion Day.
