City administrative offices to close for Labor Day on Sept. 3

Sarasota, FL: City of Sarasota administrative offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of Labor Day.
Garbage, recycling and yard waste pickups normally scheduled for Mondays or Tuesdays will be delayed one day during the holiday week. Thursday and Friday collection days will remain the same.
Hours of operation at recreation and cultural arts facilities will vary:
Bobby Jones Golf Club, 1000 Circus Boulevard, will be open regular hours: 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Children’s Fountain at Bayfront Park, Ringling Boulevard and Bayfront Drive, will begin winter hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lido Pool, 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, will be closed.
Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 John Rivers Street, will be open limited hours: 6-10 a.m.
Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail - The Box Office will be closed.
The regular City Commission meeting will be held the following day on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 1565 First Street.
